Download .srtTimeline end = the latest readable cue end time, not the video length.
A file you can check cue by cue
We ran our own three-cue WebVTT sample through this browser tool and read back the downloaded SRT. The source had 3 readable cues; the output had 3 cues. Both timelines ended at 00:00:09.125. A separate two-candidate file with a reversed end time produced only 1 output cue and the exact warning shown below. These are test results for these files, not an accuracy promise for yours.
| Cue | VTT source | SRT download | What changed |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 00:00:01.250 → 00:00:03.500 | 00:00:01,250 → 00:00:03,500 | Same times; separator changed. VTT positioning removed. |
| 2 | 00:00:04.000 → 00:00:06.125 | 00:00:04,000 → 00:00:06,125 | Two text lines stayed two lines. |
| 3 | 00:00:07.000 → 00:00:09.125 | 00:00:07,000 → 00:00:09,125 | Same end time; output got cue number 3. |
| Bad sample, cue 2 | 00:00:08.000 → 00:00:07.000 | Skipped | Cue 2 has invalid timing or no text and was skipped. The page marks the 2→1 mismatch in red. |
The downloaded first cue reads Hello & welcome.; the WebVTT voice tag became plain text. Inspect your own preview because a matching count does not prove every word or style survived.

For an English or Spanish MP4, create editable timed subtitles locally with the video subtitle translator. Review the generated text and download SRT or VTT; the video itself is not changed.
Translate a pasted timed transcript
If you have timestamped English text from a YouTube transcript, the YouTube subtitle translator makes editable Spanish SRT or VTT locally. It does not fetch a YouTube URL or scrape captions.
Have a SubViewer caption file?
Convert an existing .sbv file to numbered .srt cues with the SBV to SRT converter. This runs in your browser and does not fetch captions from a YouTube URL.
