Subtitle tracks
Your MKV is processed in your browser. No byte of your video or subtitles is uploaded. The FFmpeg runtime is downloaded when you inspect a file.
What this tool exports
Each supported track is extracted separately, preserving its subtitle type. Tested tracks: SRT/SubRip downloads as .srt; ASS as .ass; PGS image subtitles as .sup. A ZIP holds all supported tracks. A PGS track is pictures, not text. To turn a downloaded PGS .sup file into English text, use our SUP to SRT OCR tool and review the result. Other subtitle codecs are listed but cannot be exported by this build.
Tested boundary
MKV input only. On this Windows test machine, a 75-second, 6,975,331-byte MKV with English SRT, French ASS and English PGS tracks was inspected on the live site. All three tracks were listed and exported together in a ZIP. The individual SRT, ASS and PGS exports were checked with a smaller 74,537-byte MKV; ffprobe recognized the exported .sup as PGS. The largest MKV tested was 6,975,331 bytes, not a guaranteed size limit. Larger files, other containers and other subtitle codecs have not been verified. The MKV is loaded into browser memory, so practical file size depends on your browser and device. No OCR is performed on this page.
