What the conversion keeps

The tool reads Dialogue events in the ASS [Events] section, uses their start and end times, and turns visible dialogue text into numbered SRT cues. It follows the event file's Format field order, including text with commas.

What SRT cannot carry

ASS fonts, colors, positions, effects and vector drawings are not carried into plain SRT. Forced \N line breaks become SRT line breaks. Review the previews, especially for karaoke or heavily styled subtitles. The converter does not translate speech, process video or recover text from drawings.
