Supported conversions

SRT → VTT or TXT; VTT → SRT or TXT; TXT → SRT or VTT. This tool accepts one UTF-8 file at a time. It does not accept video, audio, image subtitles, ASS or SUP. Have an ASS file? Use the separate ASS to SRT converter. Have a Blu-ray PGS .sup file? Use SUP to SRT with local OCR. Check reading speed and line limits with the CPS checker.

What changes?

SRT and VTT conversions keep readable cues and their timing, but styling and positioning may be removed. TXT output removes timing. TXT input creates evenly spaced draft timing from the start time, duration and gap you choose; it does not listen to audio or synchronize captions automatically.
